Music library
Keep the right music findable, and put the right part in the right player’s hands.
The catalogue
- Permanent piece ID numbers that are never reused.
- Title, composer, arranger, publisher, genre, grade, duration and notes, with search and filters.
- Import from Excel or CSV, and export. Bandmin guesses your columns and you correct them. Columns it doesn’t recognise can be kept as custom columns.
- Versions of a piece can share a number with a letter (21, 21L low vocal, 21H high vocal), or use entirely separate numbers.
Parts and PDFs
- Tag each piece Instrumental or Vocal, if you want to (it can be switched off in settings).
- Upload a whole score, individual parts, or one combined PDF per piece.
- Instruments are detected from file names and page headings. Edit your band’s instruments and aliases.
- Split a combined PDF into parts automatically from page headings, or by clicking page thumbnails, with select all, deselect all and a large page preview.
- Part numbers (Alto Sax 1, Alto Sax 2) are kept in every label and file name.
Each player sees their own music
- Players see only the parts for their own instrument and part number.
- Browse in catalogue order, or in the order of a physical folder.
- Download as a ZIP, or as one printable PDF.
- Roles: Member (own parts), Music Director (all parts and whole packages) and Librarian (manage the library).
Watermarks and traceability
- Add up to four lines of watermark text per band, each with its own words, position, size, strength, first or every page, and bold.
- Insert details such as piece number, folder number, title, composer, band, part and who downloaded it.
- The watermark is added as the file is served, so your uploaded files are never altered. Override or turn it off per piece. Librarians can open the clean original.
- Every download also carries a tiny, faint reference code. Only Bandmin administrators can look one up to trace a leaked copy back to a member, and every lookup is logged.
